Leading global lifestyle and concierge service provider Ten Lifestyle Group has launched its first internship programme in South Africa in March this year. The programme seeks to support the building of a youth employment ecosystem in the country and contribute to efforts in combating the unemployment crisis.
Following a 40% growth in its Cape Town office, Ten continues to invest in South Africa through its debut internship programme – InternXperience. This initiative seeks to empower 10 South African youth with real work experience through a paid 12-month rotational programme in its Cape Town office.
Ten has designed the programme to expose interns to various business and services lines within the organisation, including hospitality, content, people development, technology, and more. Interns will have access to numerous benefits, including certified business coaches and a guaranteed interview for available roles within the business at the end of their internship.
Speaking on the internship programme, Eddie O’Neill, Head of Ten South Africa, had this to say: “We’re excited to launch this programme and to bring 10 exceptional and energised young South Africans into Ten as they embark on their career journey. This programme has been designed to showcase how young aspiring individuals with diverse backgrounds, both ethnically and economically, can achieve amazing success and truly represent this great country. We are passionate at Ten about finding and developing the next generation of talent, and in opening doors to bright young individuals to show them what is possible with the right levels of support and mentorship.”
